Trans-contact Tour company develops and produces not only recreation equipment, but also “working” boats. Example: on the basis of the project KM-120 KAMA a pilot modification has been elaborated for Vyborg. There are orders to elaborate and produce oil recovery vessels. But what the market of ‘working” river and sea vessels mostly needs is a diving boat; Emergency Situations Ministry, hydro technical constructions and river navy services have been for a long time in need of a small diving boat.
 

At first the project was oriented on the peculiarities of Russian underwater work which is why the boat is designed for two “three-bolt” divers working at a depths of up to 45 metres. If ordered it is possible to equip the boat with any other Russian or foreign diving equipment. Besides the diving equipment itself the boat has a reduced variant of a recompression chamber to cure decompression illness.

Running performance is: sea keeping performance – up to 3 balls, fuel distance – 350 miles, self-sustaining period – up to 3 days, speed – up to 11 knots, crew – 6 persons, while 4 of them form diving crew. Diving equipment occupies the majority of all the premises on the boat, i.e. diving station room and divers’ equipment storeroom. Despite that the vessel is designed to “work”, it has cabins for the crew to have a rest, galley, shower and toilet.

One of the principal characteristics of the future boat is manoeuvrability which is very important for a “three-bolt” diver who works in bulky equipment. Especially for this purpose the boat is equipped with a bow thruster.and rings to lift a vessel on the shore or another vessel also facilitate operation.
 

Technical details

Standard diving equipment of the boat includes: electric compressor, air drying and purification unit, two air distributing diving shields, shield of chamber air feeding, pipelines with a system of valves, containers for air.

Life-support systems are equal to those installed in “tourist” boats Kama and Bersout: ventilation and air conditioning, water purification, drainage, fire, plumbing systems, etc.

Perkins engine has a capacity of 225 hp. Electric system of 24 W is supplied from the generator, and that of 380 W is supplied from a diesel generator.

Communication and navigation systems have two options: river and sea. The “sea” version has all the systems of the Japanese company Furuno. It includes: stationary VHF radio set, portable VHF radiotelephone, NAVTEX NX – 500 receiver, RESCUER SART radar responder and RENNED 406 WH emergency beacon of COSPAS-SARSAT system. The “river” version has River-SD radio station and two units of Granit R-44 portable radio station. All the versions have a very important device – GPS-receiver (GPS-36 Furuno).
